In this video, PG&E demonstrates how it uses a camera mounted on a robotic crawler to inspect the insides of natural gas pipelines. This year, as part of a series of projects to test or replace about 150 miles of pipeline, PG&E will use this camera tool to inspect 35 miles of pipeline. As Brian Daubin, a director in the company’s gas transmission and distribution department, said, “PG&E is committed to pipeline safety.”
