Inuktun Services Ltd. is pleased to announce its upcoming release of the "MaggUT" — a new magnetic crawler with integrated UT scanning capability.  Based on the proven Versatrax 100 MicroMag™, the new system is specifically designed to incorporate industry standard ultrasonic probes and flaw detectors from Olympus.

Available with up to 100 feet of control, coax and couplant hose cables, the vehicle can be used to perform A or B scans on a variety of flat and curved surfaces for storage tanks, pipes and other steel structures.  And, the system includes the option to add a fixed or pan and tilt video camera, providing visual inspection capability.

The system can be purchased with the UT probe and flaw detector or customers can integrate their own.

Unlike some other systems on the market, the MaggUT is truly portable – the vehicle weighs less than 15 pounds and is easily deployed and recovered by a single person. An intuitive computerized control system allows for precise maneuvering and positioning of the crawler.

Among its many potential applications, the MaggUT is ideal for inspection in the oil and gas, petrochemical and power generation industries.

The new MaggUT system will be available for purchase or rental in Summer, 2015.  For more information, please call Inuktun at 1-877-468-5886 or e-mail sales@inuktun.com.
