Inuktun Sighting #54: All Fun and GAME

TORONTO, ONTARIO –

Tomato, to-mah-to; potato, po-tah-to; Versatrax 150™, FALCON. GAME Trenchless Consultants, one of our key Canadian clients, has cordially dubbed their new Versatrax 150™ pipe inspection system the FALCON (For All Large CONduits). No matter how you pronounce it, our Multi-Mission Modular (IM3) technology continues to prove itself in infrastructure inspection industries.

GAME, a consulting engineering firm specializing in Global Asset Management Engineering, recently completed a remote visual pipe inspection of main transmission lines leading to and from a municipal water pumping station as part of a condition assessment program for the city of Toronto. The successful inspection was implemented with the OnSite Versatrax 150™ crawler and Inuktun’s Spectrum 90™ pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera. The lines inspected were 100 year old cement mortar lined cast iron pipes of 750 and 900mm diameter. GAME completed two inspections of 400 metres by entering a 1200mm butterfly valve and a 300mm tapped valve. The inspection revealed a silty substance on the pipe surface as well as minor cracks in the cement mortar and joints.

Inuktun offers its IM3 technology to municipal, provincial and federal government groups to assist with the examination of infrastructure. From main transmission lines to bridges and tunnels, our robotic camera and crawler systems offer remote visual inspection and nondestructive imaging for a wide range of applications.
