Inuktun Sighting #107: Clean Before You Crawl

Inuktun Europe's Stand at Subsea Expo 2018

This #InuktunInTheWild sighting is courtesy of Inuktun Europe Ltd. who exhibited at Subsea Expo 2018 in Aberdeen last week, a show that was well attended by many relevant industry stakeholders, and Inuktun Europe’s stand kept very busy!

Attending Inuktun equipment users and customers included JFD, TRAC Oil & Gas, and Eddyfi (formerly TSC Inspection Systems). Inuktun Europe’s Director, Brian Storie, said contractors and asset owners were particularly interested in the modular nature of Inuktun’s Multi-Mission Modular (IM3™) technology and the capabilities it provides to the offshore industry. In particular, the ‘X-Y crawler’ received a significant amount of attention. In applications such as ship hull cleaning and inspection, a man portable robotic inspection crawler offers a simplicity of deployment and alleviates the need for additional costly resources. The level of interest shown by booth visitors confirmed that remote inspection and cleaning of marine vessels are a very hot topic. See the ‘X-Y crawler’ in action here and another example of one of our adaptable crawlers employing cleaning technology, the MaggUT™ - Marine, here. Want more? Check out this case study of MDB Marine employing IM3™ technology for subsea operations.

The Inuktun Europe team were frequently asked whether the revolutionary Versatrax 50™ pipe inspection vehicle on display was a model – its miniature size a first in the industry. Take a closer look here.

If a picture paints a thousand words, a product demonstration provides an encyclopedia of information. But seriously, all of our Inuktun offices are happy to show you IM3™ technology at our place or yours – on your schedule.
