Inuktun’s new Versatrax 150™ pipe inspection crawler system provides greater operating range, more standard features, and multiple options for on-board sensors and tools.
Expanding on the original Versatrax 150™, the new system (termed the “Mark II” by our engineers) is available with up to one kilometre (3,300 ft) of copper tether cable and can operate in pipes as small as 150 mm (six inches) in diameter. An optional fibre optic tether is also available for high bandwidth devices such as on-board HD cameras (like our Spectrum 120HD™) or Ethernet sensors.
By leveraging some of the technology built into its bigger brother, the Versatrax 300™, the Versatrax 150™ Mark II can carry sonar, retrieval tools, laser profilers or NDT sensors. And, with the remotely operated camera/sensor raise motor, the system offers highly detailed inspections of even the most challenging pipelines.
Like all of our pipe inspection crawler system, the Mark II has a wide range of applications including sewers, storm drains, hydroelectric penstocks, petrochemical plants, mining infrastructure, and unpiggable pipes in the oil and gas industry.
