Here at Inuktun we are always pleased to share our story through the media. In recent weeks, we’ve fielded requests from local newspapers, national press syndicates, national radio stations, and even television, including Global TV and Discovery Channel.
Sometimes, it is for something exceptional that Inuktun has been part of, such as supplying crawlers to help look for survivors during 9/11 or, more recently, providing components for a unique robot built to enter the devastated Fukushima nuclear plant.
For us, these stories are reminders of the philosophy behind Inuktun, how our products benefit people. The name ‘Inuktun’ means just that: for the benefit of man.
Other times, the stories are less dramatic, like this one in Canadian Mining and Energy. But they are equally important. Trade publications reach specialized audiences we often can’t engage directly ourselves.
Despite having sold products to mining companies like Barrick Goldstrike, Teck Coal Ltd., K+S Potash, TESRA, and others, sales to mining companies accounts for just two per cent of our annual revenue. Still, a nuts and bolts approach remains key in educating potential clients on how our products can help solve their challenges while keeping people safe and capital assets well maintained.
As the old adage goes, any press is good press — and we here at Inuktun always appreciate the interest of media folks who are keen to tell our story.
