As you may recall, we were recently honoured with a guest blog post from Dr. Mike Mattice, Denver IEEE Robot Committee Chair, who reported on the annual IEEE Region 5 Autonomous Robot Competition proudly supported by Inuktun. The event, hosted at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, is described in more detail here. Inuktun believes in the importance of community involvement and providing a foundation to help today’s students explore and transform the future of robotics.
FIRST, an organization dedicated to educating young students on the importance and excitement of science and technology, is operating the FIRST Tech Challenge Competition; we are excited to support the Victoria based FIX IT robotics team with their participation at the event taking place in Houston, Texas. We wish them good luck and encourage our readers to check out their newsletter and learn more about what they are up to on the FTC website.
Our industry is growing and the opportunities are almost endless; these competitions do a great job of developing engineering and problem solving skills. We’re encouraged to see so many innovative projects in the robotics field from students across all age ranges. Let us know what your academic team is currently cooking up, and you might find yourself on Inuktun’s blog! And as always, our friendly and knowledgeable team is on standby to answer any of your questions about our robotic camera and crawler systems for your remote inspection needs.
