What Lies Ahead for 2018

A few years ago, we set ambitious goals to continue to transform Inuktun into a dynamic industrial robotics industry leader. We continue to excel, design, test, produce and build our products with the best engineers, designers, machinists and production specialists along with a host of critical troubleshooting specialists to provide leading edge solutions in the industry.

We’ve integrated more locally-tuned industry and application specific information into our online and offline content. Inuktun’s recent completion of the ISO 9001:2015 audit meets the international QMS standard worthy of our international reputation. And we are still actively working towards certification of our remote inspection equipment under the European ATEX Directive, as well as the global IECEx program, to further our Industry compliance certification portfolio with explosion-proof ratings.

This year our new Laser Profiler (patent pending!) will be released. Designed to provide high resolution internal pipeline measurements before and after rehabilitation, Inuktun’s Laser Profiler projects a laser light ring onto a pipe surface and uses a high resolution wide-angle camera to triangulate distance. ICON control software collects raw data while InPRO processes the data to produce detailed client reports. The resulting profile information can be used to verify pipe and liner installations, assess remaining useful life, or measure the state of defects, joints and partial collapses. The final reports allow owners to monitor corrosion and erosion, and plan rehabilitation or replacement for significant time and cost savings.

We’re proud to introduce the Versatrax 100™ Mark II system, an economical solution for small pipe inspection. Check out the product announcement in this newsletter.

It’s a new year but we have the same resolution: to meet our customers’ challenges in remote inspection and nondestructive testing through continuous improvement by surpassing industry expectations.

Here’s to another great year ahead.

Since 1989, Inuktun Services Ltd. has been designing and building remotely operated systems that bridge the gap between people and the physical world, helping clients reach the unreachable and see the unseen. Whether you are working in a hazardous area, deep underwater, or in extremely confined spaces, Inuktun’s lineup of modular robotic crawlers and cameras make it possible to perform inspection and remote handling jobs safely and efficiently. And, the Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular (IM3) technology developed by Inuktun means systems can be quickly adapted for different purposes.
