Inuktun recently participated in a European roadshow hosted by SPRINT Robotics, an event showcasing robotic technologies at petrochemical end user sites, plants and facilities. Julien Massé, Business Development Manager for Inuktun Europe, joined the roadshow that travelled through Norway, Denmark, Germany, and Holland to raise awareness of our IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) technology among various market-ready drones, pigging tools, nondestructive testing (NDT) sensors, and data analytics software.
Julien comments, “Visiting and demonstrating at a client’s site is not a revolution, but doing it as a group of companies offering a wide range of technologies certainly is. In their battle to eradicate human entry in confined spaces and limit the risks taken onsite, end users need our ongoing advice and guidance. There is no such thing (yet!) as a robotic system that can fully replace a human being. However, the time to start collaborating is now. In that sense, it was encouraging to spot Inuktun IM3 technology being already used on certain sites.”
Plants visited included those of petrochemical industry leaders BASF, The Dow Chemical Company, Shell Global Solutions, as well as the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in the Netherlands. Site technicians, managers, and researchers got a look at the MaggHD™ and MaggUT™ miniature magnetic crawlers and the Versatrax 50™ miniature pipe inspection vehicle. Dow Benelux BV exhibited the Confined Space Entry (CSE) elimination robotics toolkit they already own and actively use at their site in Terneuzen, Netherlands.
You don’t have to be in Europe to see this robotic toolkit and the rest of our IM3™ technology; next month, Inuktun InCommand Robotics will be hosting a QUILL (Quarterly Inuktun Lunch and Learn) specifically on the robotic toolkit with keynote speaker Nicoli Aguinaga from The Dow Chemical Company discussing how it eliminates working at heights or in confined spaces at their site.
