Inuktun Sighting #115: IM3™ Technology in China

Today’s #InuktunInTheWild sighting is courtesy of Inuktun’s China Channel Manager, PengBin (Logic) Liu, who recently returned from China where he met with our local clients and representatives, and took part in exhibits at both the Nuclear Industry Exhibition (NIC) and the China International Petroleum and Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE).

The NanoMag™ miniature magnetic crawler was on interactive display at the NIC exhibition, where attendees were able to try it out firsthand. Originally designed to perform remote visual inspection (RVI) on the top and bottom of PWR reactors in North America, the NanoMag™ has since found a home in a range of industries and applications worldwide. It is one of the smallest industrial magnetic crawler vehicles available on the market – ideal for the hazardous areas and confined spaces commonly found in the nuclear industry.

Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, the second ever nuclear power station built in China, was among the many groups visited by Mr. Liu. He tells us his trip was a great success – the team at Daya Bay will be looking to acquire a specialized vertical pipe crawler system in the near future!

The demand for IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) technology is growing rapidly across the globe – and China is no exception – so we’re adding more dealers and distributors in key local regions to serve all the related industries. Wherever you are located – help is not far away; see our complete list of offices and sales agents here, and don’t forget to send us your own #InuktunInTheWild sighting to be featured on Inuktun’s blog.
