Inuktun Sighting #125: TRAC Oil & Gas Trusts the Spectrum 120HD™ in the Splash Zone

This week’s #InuktunInTheWild sighting features the Spectrum 120HD™ high definition pan, tilt and zoom inspection camera deployed in an OEM application by Inuktun Europe’s client, TRAC Oil & Gas, a leading global provider of rope access inspection, repair and maintenance services for the oil and gas and related industries.

With funding from the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC), TRAC and ToolTec have developed an inspection and cleaning tool designed to be remotely deployed from a platform for cleaning and obtaining inspection data from varying sizes of conductor and caisson above or below water, including the splash zone. Removing the need for placing divers in the extremely hazardous splash zone area, the Universal Cleaning and Inspection Tool (UCIT) allows for effective integrity management of caissons and conductors. The UCIT can accommodate three different methods for conductor cleaning and five different methods of conductor inspection including employment of the onboard Spectrum 120HD™ inspection camera.

Inuktun’s Spectrum 120HD™ pan, tilt and zoom camera provides crystal clear video in air or underwater. It packs a high definition, full 1080p resolution with high quality optical zoom up to 30x in a robust package only 120mm (4.75in) diameter. Built out of marine grade aluminum parts, the Spectrum 120HD™ has built-in high intensity lights and with optional spot lights and laser lines for on-screen size estimation. Due to the adaptable nature of our IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) technology, this HD inspection camera also offers options for deep water pressure ratings, interlocking deployment poles, extended distance with fibre optic cables, and more!

TRAC and Tooltec trust the Spectrum 120HD™ for the important inspection required in the volatile splash zone; what will you see with yours? Contact our technical sales team to learn more and send us your own #InuktunInTheWild sightings to be featured on our blog!
