As the video shows, the Mark II is one of the best examples of the truly adaptable nature of IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) technology. With this configuration option, an ultrasonic testing (UT) Olympus D790 probe has been implemented in the parallel vehicle configuration for inspectors requiring real-time thickness measurement readings. An innovative hinged chassis design allows for the efficient operation inside and outside of pipelines, on steel walls, or for other curved surfaces. The onboard UT probe can be used to quantify metal loss with your own thickness gauge.
The video features the Versatrax 100™ Mark II crawler with Inuktun’s Spectrum 90™ PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) inspection camera – an optional upgrade for the parallel vehicle. Benefits include camera laser lines for detailed inspection as well as the convenience of quickly switching to drop camera operation (without changing any hardware thanks to a special umbilical cable and the new universal controller that can be used with most of our camera systems and smaller crawlers).
This configuration option is just one benefit of owning a truly versatile Versatrax 100™ Mark II modular crawler. Check out the Cable Drive feature that allows the Mark II to push cable and even climb it.
