Inuktun Sighting #149: Modified Versatrax™ Robotic Inspection Crawler Impresses Government

This week’s #InuktunInTheWild sighting comes from the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference in Port of Spain where the local Prime Minister and members of Parliament were introduced to IM3™ (Inuktun Multi-Mission Modular) technology.

Sponsored by industry leaders including Shell, BP, BHP, Schlumberger and more – this conference provided the perfect platform to acknowledge how technology is transforming the industry and a comprehensive overview of developments in the Trinidad and Tobago and wider Caribbean oil, gas and petrochemical sectors from both a government and industry point of view. Inuktun’s global agent, HHSL Safety Systems, demonstrated a customized Versatrax 150™ pipe inspection vehicle with a suction attachment, twin high-pressure water jets, and a scraper blade. Another prototype vehicle is being fabricated in aluminum by request of a local industry leading client.

The adaptable nature of IM3™ technology allows for seemingly effortless customizations to products like the Versatrax™ robotic crawler lineup. And, with Inuktun’s recent acquisition by Eddyfi Technologies, we’re even better suited to providing the exact tool required for your non-destructive testing (NDT) data collection needs. Why not start a data-driven dialogue today?
