Inuktun Sighting #163: Inuktun MaggHD™ Lends a Hand for Remote Controlled Operations

This week’s #InuktunInTheWild sighting comes from our own engineering team who recently performed in-house testing on Eddyfi Technologies’ Inuktun MaggHD™ miniature magnetic crawler with an integrated Meca500 – Ultracompact six-axis robot arm.

Intended for industrial use in a wide range of applications, this robotic arm offers endless opportunities when paired with Eddyfi Technologies’ Inuktun robotic transporter crawlers. During trials, the Inuktun MaggHD™ effortlessly held a 1.6kg/3lb weight in the robotic arm while traversing vertically across a test steel wall. Potential operations include delivering a nondestructive testing (NDT) probe to a previously inaccessible location or integrating an Inuktun Diamond™ camera on the end of the arm to perform challenging RVI projects, like inspecting the secondary seal on floating roof tanks. When it comes to remote visual inspection (RVI) and remote-controlled handling, tooling and other operations – trust our IM3™ (Multi-Mission Modular) technology to deliver!

Check out these real-world examples where Inuktun robotic crawler and inspection camera systems enabled operators to perform tasks in locations otherwise unreachable or too inhospitable.

How can IM3™ technology enable you to collect repeatable, actionable, meaningful and preventative data you can trust? Contact our experts to find out!

When you see Inuktun robots working hard on the job or hanging out at your office, take a picture and send it to the editor and it might just end up our next #InuktunInTheWild sighting.
