Inuktun Sighting #62: Watch Your Water Intake

Just like people, though, the pulp and paper industry needs water to survive. So when Port Hawkesbury Paper had a problem with water flow in their intake line they called our good friends at GAME Trenchless Consultants. As a consulting engineering firm specialized in providing condition assessment and trenchless rehabilitation of water mains, GAME was the perfect company to assess the problem; they evaluated the situation and identified the Versatrax 300™ (VT300) long range crawler as the ideal inspection tool. With more than two (2) kilometres of umbilical cable and a Spectrum 120HD™ PTZ camera, the VT300 can be used to inspect long sections of pipe as small as 12 inches in diameter. No, this post is not about the ubiquitous yet unscientific reports that say you need to drink eight (8) glasses of water a day.
